The concerts are held in one of the Water Lilies rooms with works by Debussy, Ravel, etc. There are also performances of more contemporary compositions, including Glass and others.

Born in Baltimore (USA), Jeff Cohen was a student at the Paris Conservatoire in the classes of Reine Gianoli and Geneviève Joy, where he was awarded piano and chamber music prizes. He then went on to study with Leon Fleisher in the United States and Peter Feuchtwanger in England.
Currently a professor at the Paris Conservatoire, teaching mélodie and Lied, Jeff Cohen has been vocal coach at the Opéra de la Monnaie in Brussels, professor at the École d’Art Lyrique de l’Opéra in Paris, head of the music staff at the Théâtre du Châtelet and co-ordinator at the Bibliothèque nationale de France for a series of concerts of French melody. He is artistic director of Saisons de la voix, an association in the Lubéron that promotes young singers and pianists.
He performs with many singers and instrumentalists such as Roberto Alagna, June Anderson, Cecilia Bartoli, Yann Beuron, Jane Birkin, Measha Brueggergosman, Jean-Paul Fouchécourt, Véronique Gens, Angela Gheorghiu, Ivry Gitlis, Ida Haendel, Sumi Jo, Steve Lacy, François Le Roux, Noël Lee, Ute Lemper, Pierre Lénert, Vincent Le Texier, Mady Mesplé, Didier Sandre, etc.
He has made a number of recordings: a "live" recital at La Scala with Angela Gheorghiu; the mélodies of Duparc, Fauré, Hahn, Gounod and Loeffler with François Le Roux; Lieder by Mozart on fortepiano with Véronique Dietschy; songs by Kurt Weill and cabaret with Ute Lemper; two pianos with Noël Lee, etc.
He has assisted on opera recordings with conductors such as Bertrand de Billy, Sir Mark Elder, Christopher Hogwood, John Nelson, Michel Plasson and Sir George Solti, etc.
Jeff Cohen has conducted the orchestra for L’Opéra de quat’ sous directed by Giorgio Strehler at the Théâtre du Châtelet, has assisted Myung-Whun Chung with Otello at the Opéra de la Bastille, and collaborated with Patrice Chéreau on Hamlet and Lucio Silla. He performed in Impressions de Pelléas by Peter Brook and with Fanny Ardant in Masterclass, directed by Roman Polanski. He was director of musical studies for Street Scene by Kurt Weill with the Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra de la Bastille. He filmed with the choreographer Blanca Li in her show Le Jardin des délices.
Jeff Cohen composes music for theatre and films. He has written and presented a programme for children, Jeff d’orchestre, following collaborations with Philippe Meyer on Revenez quand vous voulez and Anicroches for French television.
Jeff Cohen was made an Officier des Arts et des Lettres in 2013.
