Tour-Workshop: Lyrical Water Lilies

The tones of the dawn, of the sunset, colour, light and the shape of clouds changing freely, objects perceived intuitively, the depth, space and infinite distance above and behind the clouds that are glimpsed as they open, all of these were the natural sources of inspiration of Monet’s Water Lilies that certain American painters incorporated and took towards Abstraction through gestural painting cadenced with colour.
In the studio, visitors will paint directly on the floor aiming, through colour and gesture, to represent space and light, which will become the subject itself of the painting created, in the style of the great artists Pollock, Rothko and Mitchell.
